David Morris, I think you are very wrong here and I feel partly
responsible. 
John Bailey has contributed in the best possible way here.  
He's just finished hosting MDMD chapters and his insights and 
notes and discussion have done a lot to make this list what it is
supposed to be--Pynchon-L. 


I have tried to keep my fight with Doug, my fight with Doug. 
But Doug is a very talented fighter. He's a lot of fancy foot work and 
Ali shuffles. And of course he tag teams. I'm not sure why he does this. 
 Most times I think Doug simply
believes that he needs to scream from the minaret, calling the faithful
and the fallen to his sermon. Most of the time he preaches down at the
congregation and the choir. 



I'm sorry that you and John Bailey have dragged into this. 

I'm not going to  sit back and let Doug bully me and others with his
brand of absolute pacifism, militant Lefty rhetoric, multiple persona
distortions of P-lister  posts, ad hominem and the like, but I don't
want to drag the list down either. 

I find Dave Monroe's defense of Doug's tactics astonishing. I'm glad
that Robert and others who have been provoked by Doug for no apparent
reason (except for some perverse
need to win the sympathies of his own personas as he cries wolf,  puts
on his "human 'KICK ME!' sign" defense and accuses most of us of acting
like a pack of wolves in christ's own  manger) have, for the most part,
ignored Doug. 

Again, I'm sorry you and John Bailey were dragged into this.
