Okay, thought I heard my name here ...

I defend no one's "tactics" here. Indeed, if you've
all read my last post here, I'm fed upon enough to
resort to the worst possible of them, insofar as
onscreen slapfighting goes here.
But I do, whilst clearing out the ol' inbox here (and
lately I've been feeling like Kobo Abe's Woman in the
Dunes in this regard ...), get more than a little
irked by glaring hypocrisies (inc. my aforementioned
own) here. I've been trying to be good, but ...
For the most part, I've been ignoring nigh unto ALL of
you since September 11th here, knowing full well what
sort of nastiness might ensue, and that, having barely
enough time to conduct my own business, here and
elsewhere, I didn't even want to be tempted to being
dragged into it.
But I do tire of Doug constantly being ganged up on
here, and often by people who have often, perhaps even
typically, conducted themselves no better.
Morris, in particular, has, even by established
expectations, and even in light of the occasional
quite interesting post actually on those Pynchonian
texts (which, as I'm sure no one noticed, I had an
opportunity to acknowledge yesterday) been ill-behaved
of late.
I realize, however, that the issue of eye-for-eye,
tit-for-tat, civilain-for-civilian et al. "justice" is
one that deeply divides uch of the world population,
esp. of late, so ...
But before y'all cast stones at Doug here, clear out
the plank in yr own eyes, or whatever. None of us are
innocent ...
