Barbara is one appalled lady. Not showing Bin Laden's
home movie productions isn't a threat to democracy
too, is it? Read the Times transcripts and shaddap.
PS - To anyone who thinks this
more-sensitive-than-thou, melodramatic wool-gatherer
is Doug: we all know Millison lives for this board -
he posts upwards of ten-thousand words a day here - do
you really think he has time to en'gender' an
alter-ego too?
......................
I heard on the radio this morning that the Bush
Administration asked the press not to air Osama bin
Laden's speeches in their entirety the next time
around. They asked that the more 'inflammatory' and
'flowery' parts be edited out. Five major news
organizations agreed to the request, as a gesture of
respect and patriotism, the announcer said. I'm
appalled by it. Isn't there some Right or Amendment
that guards against this sort of thing? This idea of
fighting for Freedom is getting more ridiculous by the
day, ain't it?
Doug, did you hear about it? You got any petitions to
sign or anything? I don't like it one bit. Listening
to Osama last Sunday on NBC was about the height of my
day. Not that I like his rhetoric either, but I do
like hearing what the other folks around the world are
hearing. It helps me muddle through my own thoughts,
you know.
