blaming Pynchon

I'm really sorry for John Bailey.  He didn't do it.  I did.  Whatever it 
was that I said that so upset our man.  I'm baffled.  I was just having a 
bit of fun and I can't see how I could have offended anybody.  Curioser and 
curiouser.
