once again the attention-starved "doug" has succeeded
in inverting the focus of this list onto himself --

being a new yorker & not having read 'm&d,' i'm more
interested in the political stuff anyway these days,
and to be honest i trust the level of discourse here
alot more than if i were to say go on delphi's bully
pulpit etc. i like the fact that alot of different
views are being expressed here, the links are being
passed along, the flow of information in general. i
even like what doug has to say much of the time, and
his variety resources have to be admired, regardless
of what we might think of this or that
article/crackpot/diletante whatever.

however, the personal spats - which i admit i have
fallen victim to at times - have just got to stop.
what is this 'barbara needs to get laid' shit? one of
the few women to post here, and it suddenly turns into
base locker room bullshit. i tell ya what, i need to
get laid too! and maybe doug does, and quail, hey,
with a name like quail... everybody needs to get laid,
even obl himself. and the doug shit is just beyond...
beyond... reason. stop the madness! oh and while i'm
at it, stop quoting 'a screaming comes across the sky'
already, jeezus!!! bah... brbejrb... a plea for
tenderness. mj
