My interpretation doesn't necessarily contradict the one Doug has offered
here, by the way, and I don't disagree with him. And I think both Phil's and
Jasper's takes, which pointed to the difference between the V-2 rockets and
the buzzbombs used in the Blitz of 1941-2, and the symbolic potential of
"Screaming holds across the sky" at the dream sequence's close,
respectively, are valid too.
Though Doug's piece was undoubtedly heartfelt, I can't help comparing it to
the paid ad. by David Horowitz which Jasper cited recently. Same tactic.
