Oh, you Americans!  Friends?? Is this irony??  Why must you derrid(a)e each 
other?  Gone are the days when Ezra Pound could call our mighty civilisation 
"...an old bitch, gone in the teeth."  (what remarkable metaphor!)  But then, 
not all of you are feeling sorry for themselves.  As for Holly wood -- well, 
it is better than Disneyland!  You have given the world so much.  It's a 
wonder we don't thank whatever diety for putting you on the planet.  
Ah, such bitterness.  I told myself when I came out of hiding I would avoid 
such things.  Here I am breaking my promise to myself.  Such a poor fool.  
Now the bells on my cap are rusting, and I'm raving again!!!  Where is Lear 
when I need him.  Must I be Mad for both of us?
Being a Legend is not so easy as you may think.  I throw myself on the altar
