Richard works near 42nd Street and 5th Avenue.  His number at home in
Brooklyn does not seem to function.  I just left a voice mail message on
his work phone for him to get in touch ASAP.  I spoke to him before I
left town last week, but not since then.

After yesterday's mass exodus, the streets are now eerily empty of cars
and people.  There is a sound of military jets overhead from time to
time, but the sky is otherwise silent.  Never thought I'd hear so much
quiet in New York City.
