Fw:WRL on Attacks, some thoughts on day 1

Having already expressed my warmest sympathy -- if you will allow me for a moment to sound platitudinous, I have to say that anger gives bad counsel, and that thought should always precede action. Therefore, I don't think a "blind" retaliation would be an effective answer to this "blind" terrorist attack (quotations are of the essence in both cases, but let's wait first for the official response before we can comment on it). What is most lacking in this world (has always been, as a matter of fact) is the voice of reason. Let us show now we can still hear it, from time to time. Listen to our fellow listers from Germany and Denmark. They are not passing judgement. They are just calling for the voice of reason to be heard.
