Even when there has been  internecine list ad hominums, I have always thought of the P-List as a haven of rational/thoughtful discourse. I never imagined that people could appreciate Pynchon and still be angry, knee-jerk, jingoistic Amerika Uber Alles shout-down reasonable discussion fascists. Guess I was wrong.
