Doug--

No hate/war monger me but it seems you are trying to fight the Vietnam War 
all over again--but this time pacifism is not a logical option--these folks 
will do it again and again, irregardless of our actions. The Gulf War was an 
oil war, nothing to do w/ national sovereignty and democracy--the country 
was never honest with itself, at least from all that high faultin rhetoric 
that was flying above our heads. One could argue oil is a big part of this 
current scenario but it's much broader today than from even 10 yrs ago.

I continue to hope that the admninistration leans more and more toward Colin 
Powell's emphasis on diplomatic, as well as military options. There are lots 
of hawks and I shudder to hear the rumsfelds, and wolfowitz, pearle resolute 
opinions on massive retaliation.
