The 5th Uncle

Let’s see, there’s Wade and Charles, Wicks and Ives, but isn’t there a fifth
uncle?

Wade is strong, at least within the confines of his house- a veritable sultan.

Charles will seem weak and ineffectual like his soap. While Ives, a current
of political
charge, is only briefly passing through.

With respect to the other three, Wicks is difficult to quantify. Within the
house-
he’s tenuous, enduring by wits alone, but without- his imagination seems
endless,
reaching even to the distant stars. The arc of his memory enjoins past and
present,
and like the future, he haunts Mason’s grave.

I could have sworn there was a fifth, however, who now seems noticeably
absent- a quintessential uncle? Perhaps I’m mistaken.

Oh well. More room for the other four...
