I agree with what Mike Weaver  said.   Pynchon is a bigger elephant than
all us touchy-feely blind men combined can imagine.

"Terrance" , however, is a frustrated school-teacher who can't stand it if
we don't all sit up straight and let him run this class the way he wants it
run, and he starts screeching as he gets frustrated because people dare to
disagree with what he says.   Pynchon's too big to stuff in your box, too,
