Generally I agree that Karol Woytila is a sympathetic man who has done a lot
for the political freedom in Easter Europe. I was shocked when he had been
shot and I feel sorry for him being so sick now.
But in the last years he has become more and more conservative, forcing the
German Catholics out of the pregnancy advisory boards helping pregnant women
in difficult situations to avoid abortions, speaking against the use of
condoms against Aids in Africa etc. And now this beatification that
justifies pastime acts of genocide in my opinion.
