     TRP is evidently an ardent fan of Gabriel Garcia Marquez, even in translation.  Confusing fact with fiction, then employing it for historiography seems to be a common thread between these two.  Maybe the weaving of Eliza Field's tale with "The Ghastly Fop" is a "hat's off" to _One Hundred Years of Solitude_ .  Stylistically (if that is a word), at least?
