Whatever you or I call it, I love that "tree" in my front yard, and the
"hummingbirds" that flit through its "branches" and the "Bay" spread out
below, and the "Golden Gate Bridge" and the "Pacific Ocean" beyond...and I
like the way Pynchon helps me see it all in a different way, and then
another, and then another, and...
