I still cannot believe that, not only have y'all NOT
covered Slow Learner yet, but y'all aren't interested
in it, either.  'Twould be an excellent way to while
away some time until the next novel, methinks.  Not
only would it be an excellent way to identify
persistent themes, stylistic elements, and so forth,
but all those short stories would give us a series of
quickly and easily attainable goals.  Island-hopping,
vs., say, the grand assault on the mainland we're
nearing the end of now (and how long were y'all
reading Gravity's Rainbow BEFORE I signed on?).  And
there's always the scattered nonfiction.  Keep the
"Pynchon" in "P-List," I say ...
