Yes, and Booth, another masterpiece,  has been discussed quite
frequently as well, so when I typed "applied author" (a Booth term I
have used here perhaps 50 times or so) when I meant to to type "Implied
Author" I thought my error so obvious that I didn't bother to correct
it. That is, I expected that the few who have shown an interest in this
thread would not waste time calling attention to it. 

Now that we have gotten only back to where we started perhaps we can try
again?
