"The coach is a late invention of the Jesuits."
The coach, conveyance, or machine is described in various ways... bigger on the inside than it appears from outside.
There is another item called a machine in this section... the curious Flask of Mr. Edgewise. The Flask must also appear smaller than its true size... "Out of the apparently inexhaustible Flask" 356.19
The coach is full of a variety of strangers - apparently there is always room for more...
Mr. & Mrs Edgewise, RC, Luise Redzinger and daughter, a coachful of assorted strangers (353)
How many people can a coach normally hold?
This might be, regretably, might last post on this chapter... I will be on the road with an untested internet connection... and last time my posts were denied as they come from an unregistered e-mail when I am travelling...
