Just a couple of the references to Pynchon's ancestors.  This history has
been covered elsewhere, these are scans of the original documents.

It's been noted by others, that in his novels, when he writes about Native
Americans and the results of the irinteraction with European settlers,
Pynchon is writing family history to a certain degree.
