better version of the "pynchon list"?

I am neither a lawyer nor do I play one on teevee.
Again (and again and again and again ...) I simply do
not like to see anyone ganged up on on this
playground, much less out in the solid world. Doug
lashes out at others, no doubt, as do I, or you, or
... on occasion, but that he is particularly prolific
does not make him a gang, any more than your own
several noms-de-net make you one. I would do the same
for anyone in a similar situation ...
Just so we're clear, I'm hardly encouraging Doug to
proceed as he has been, either, but I'm not going to
risk even appearing to be part of the gang banging him
here. Being constantly under attack on any and all
possible fronts, however, does make one defensive, and
I've seen no one else here take so much abuse. Doug
doesn't need any more hassle onlist, so what friendly
advice and concern I do express, I offer him offlist
and leave him to take as he will.
But, again, no one is innocent here, and my own guilt
is not only Catholic. Do note, however, that I, for
one, will admit as much. That confessional clearing
of the soul ...
