Been having a little rain in South Texas, thought some of you might like to
see the slide show...

I live 1/4 mile from the Basse/ I-281 photos you will see. The water rose
and swept through my yard, but my house is just high enough and we had no
damage.
I have lived in Illinois along the Mississippi much of my life and was there
for the 1993 flood. I've been in San Antonio for five years and have
witnessed two flash floods... The flood of 98 claimed 22 lives. This one is
not as bad in terms of life and property, though we are not finished with it
yet. The Flash floods of San Antonio are very different from those in
Illinois where you may have several days to prepare before the river
rises...
Won't bore you with all the details... Just in Awe of how fast the water
rises and the damage it can do.
