I respectfully suggest Bulgakov's The Master and the Margarita. It's light,
funny, and has fantastic elements that resonate with Pynchon. The humor at
the expense of the Soviet FF's and subsequent oligarchy of the bureaucracy
has parallels to M&D and Washington, Jefferson, etc. Bulgakov plays with the
nature of perceived and objective reality. Good stuff.

Someone else suggested Neuromancer. It sits on the back of my toilet. I
think Gibson's been hashed to death all over cyberspace due to his
"relevance". After all, it was Bill Gibson, not Al Gore who really did
invent the Internet.

Im diggin' the Washington-Gershom debate.
