Sammy and Judaism
Shortly after the accident in which he lost his eye, Sammy converted to
Judaism. Like most Jews, Sammy referred to God as "The Cat Upstairs".

President's mind, that he was taking an occasion to try to overcome them
for me, I walked up from behind him and put my arms around him, hugged him,
and stepped back."
The resulting photos were splashed all over the news media, causing
innumerable headaches for Sammy with his liberal friends in Hollywood and
