I'm not bashing the authors; I'm questioning some of the premises raised.  
And the ad hominem attacks are what exactly?  if you mean the professor who 
spoke favorably of the Klan, well too bad for him but, in any case, my 
characterization of him seems in keeping with the reviewer's, at least so far 
as you posted.
