Christianity and Pynchon

Otto is right. No matter what his mother WAS, or his father WAS, or even
his ancestors WERE, you cannot from that deduce what Pynchon's religion IS
(assuming he has one). You can presume to know from his writings, but you'd
have to make quite a case to expect others to believe you.
That said, there are many aspects of many forms of Xianity in GR and V, and
I think that Terrance has presented the beginnings of some compelling
arguments about how Pynchon is using Xian and other mythologies. Some day I
hope he (Terrance) ties them all together into a paper or book.
