1. look everything up
2. dig up all of the research materials P used
3. compare these with the P text
4(a). identify what P added, subtracted, omitted,  
changed, altered, re-worked ambiguous  (often with
dream or the possibility  of dream or some other
"altered state" (drugs,    illness, insanity,) or a
mixing of mediums (film, books, plays, children's
games) and by subverting the authanticity of all and
any materails. 
4(b). don't confuse what P has done for a literary
theory like postmodernism. 
5. pay close attention to the 1960s themes and the 
   biographicals.
