Was pleasantly surprised to find I'd all but a handful
(or, at most, an armload) of these. A little top
heavy on the twentieth century there, am surprised not
to see, say, Aeschylus' Oresteia, am surprised to see,
say, Pippi Longstocking (?!), and so forth and so on,
but ... and am reminded that Diderot's Jacques le
Fataliste might well be another M&D intertext, or, at
any rate, might well be of interest here, will get on
it. But, of course, the real question on everyone's
mind is, WWHBS (What Would Harold Bloom Say)?
Something, no doubt ...
