>From today's LA Weekly:

El-P at El Rey.

While most rappers are too busy flossing to actually pay attention
to what's coming out of their mouths, El-P is digging deep, really
deep. His new release, Fantastic Damage, is a collection of
extremes dealing with both the beauty and the chaos that lie
between natural selection and the beat. With his transformation
from victimized child into überhomey capable of exacting revenge
on his cruel stepfather, El-P takes the whole thing very
personally, right down to the abrasive production. After being in
Company Flow and hooking up Cannibal Ox and many others (such as
Zack de la Rocha) with his Midas touch, he's taking care of his
own self now, bringing his own flow across the country. And while
some of the concepts and even the title Fantastic Damage have much
meaning in this post-9/11 world we're living in, don't think that
you won't get some old-school N.Y. fun. (Daniel Siwek)
