I knew there was a reason I liked that girl

I just read in the magazine, Business 2.0 (June 2002), in an article
regarding alternatives to the defunct "Oprah's Book Club," that Britney
Spears "formed Britney's Book Club and picked Thomas Pynchon's _V_ as
the first book. 'It is, at one and the same time, a hysterically profane
bildungsroman and a deeply unsettling glimpse into a world of possible
hidden connections that link us all,' Spears said."

Alas, the article is obviously a goof as it notes that Federal Reserve
Board Chairman Alan Greenspan has delayed starting his book club since
he is presently preoccupied with his Spider-Man, Xbox game.
