it is also a damn sorry state of affairs when the best newspaper for well
researched critical reporting on the U.S. is the Guardian out of England (in
my opinion) - Having just moved back to the States from living in London for
the last four years and I can tell you it is an absolute shock the way US
main stream media treats us as ignorant children. I don't even bother
looking at the NY Times or LA times anymore having turned completely to
online sources.

even prior to the attacks, the Times reporting left much to be desired. I've
written to them more than once regarding news coming out of Northern Ireland
that wasn't covered by them, w/no response. Worse yet, what articles were
printed reeked of bias. I read it daily as I work in NYC, but thankfully am
able to rely on other news outlets to form my opinions.
