The real action, imo, for people who care about that
sort of thing -- now that the serious physical threats
and hatemail have ceased -- is at AOL.com, the
long-time P-lister who hides behind the MalignD mask.
The additional online personae of the Gang of Five
are easy enough to spot: just follow the bouncing
Doug.

The Scribler got that one right. Max, me, a few others
others -- since '97, virtually everything we've tried
to say about Pynchon's texts here has been slammed
with ad hominem attacks; you could look it up.
Hollander's work, for example, about Pynchon's texts
never did get fair consideration, so quick was a small
group of people to ridicule and harass him. But we'll
have another chance to take his work seriously as we
move through Slow Learner, he's done some close
reading of the stories.
Nothing for Pynchon Notes today, not yet anyway. But
the SLSL is off to a promising start. Again, thanks
Dave, and the other contributors; even the one who
can't resist using SLSL posts to attack fellow
P-listers has, so far, offered some interesting
thoughts.
