That's impossible to demonstrate, and appears
inaccurate, based on the discussion that has taken
place on Pynchon-L on this topic.  Of the 400
subscibers to Pynchon-L, only one has said the
interview reveals Pynchon to be an "empty-headed
boob".  Another two or three have expressed similar
sentiments, but not using those words.  Several more
have expressed doubts about the interview, wondering
if it might be some kind of hoax. Far from
representing "most" P-listers, that's only a tiny 
fraction. The rest stayed silent on the topic.
