What do you think, Doug? I kinda get the feeling all the writers--Pynchon,
Kerouac, Bellow, Roth--would really dig Chomsky.  I mean, all the smart
people I know--English and Art professors--I snoop at the books on their
shelves and they all have Herzog, On the Road, Gravity's Rainbow, and
Chomsky's Manufacturing Consent.  My gut feeling tells me Pynchon loves
Chomsky.  I never understood the Chomsky hatred around here.  Some seem to
hate him as much as they hate you, Doug. I never understood that either.
Maybe Chomsky's just a little too polite too?
