Agreed, let's have spirited discussion, nothing less. 
But, the continuing effort to divide P-listers into
two bogus camps -- setting up one group as arguing
that Pynchon is being "dishonest" v. another group
that reads it the right way -- is not useful,
especially when everybody else who's participating is
exploring multiple perspectives, not an either/or
battle.
