Another similatity between the two is that they both play with the reader.
Pynchon has his mesh of ciphers just begging to be pursued. They are deeply
woven, as are Nabokov's worlds. But Nabokov is the master of subtlety, even
though being hillarious. The two are an harmonious mix.
