Okay, let's not all start in on this kind of behavior
now.  The very last thing anybody here should be doing
is discouraging participation.  Or slinging insults,
deprecations, whatever.  First off.  No, I've no idea
what this is responding to (reading in reverse order
here--thanks, by the way, for pointing out that
Burroughs link, now making the rounds in my
ever-widening gyre of correspondents ...), but I am
decidedly NOT giving thanks for the return of this
tone to my beloved List.  On anyone's part.  Okay ...
