I don't know why jbor is making this public, I sent it
to jbor and Prof. Krafft OFFLIST, since people have
complained about this thread.  

I'm a contributor to Pynchon Notes, too, in a small
way.  I'm not about to jeopardize my relationship with
the publication by carrying false charges to PN's
editor.  I'm amazed that jbor would forward this
OFFLIST email to Pynchon-L.

It's certainly not the apology I expected.
