Oh my God!
For the last two years, I have been working on an epic role-playing scenario
for "Call of Cthulhu" which I hope to get published by Chaosium. Called
"White Leviathan," the campaign is a blend of Melville and Lovecraft, and
spans 1844-1846 in the Pacific Ocean, moving from Kingsport to Cape Horn to
the Galapagos to various other mysterious islands.
Seriously -- I have been doing tons of research on Yankee sperm whaling,
I've recently read all Melville's nautical & South Pacific works, and I
recently play-tested a simplified version of "White Leviathan" at the 2001
Lovecraft convention in Providence, RI.
I am about 85% finished with the first draft, and I've currently been
advertising around New York City for literary-minded Call of Cthulhu role
players to actually play-test the entire scenario! See:

Heh. Please, do, send me any ideas you have! I'd love to hear them!
