I wonder Sam if scholars can even view them much less photocopy. I'm
sure Mr. P is aware of what they have in Austin, but as far as I'm
aware, he's hasn't approached UT about access--they have some of his
letters, too.  How does this collection differ w/r/t to access than
Pynchon's request to the Morgan Library that those 120 letters or so be
not made available to the public. 

I also wonder whether the Minstral Island musical is somehow part of
what Mr. Weisenburger alluded to in his sketch that mentioned Pynchon's
Ford Fdn application in 1959 and his foray into writing a musical.
