I agree, and would add that the narrative tone suggests a "would you
believe it" type posture, directed to a "false" future- which was really
the present of the Vietnam era- as if these types of coercions or psy-
ops or spirit-ops, or whatever, were a thing of the past, when in fact,
they continue to this day... really.
