I just called my father. He is a raving fundamentalist Christian who very
much believes his mother has died and is now alive and well in heaven. I
told him I was doing an experiment and to pretend he didn't know me and to
answer the following question honestly. He laughed and said OK.

Q: "May I speak to your mother?"

A: "You can't my mother isn't here."

Q: "May I speak to her later?"

A: "Well, no. My mother is dead."

End of discussion.
