No, "anything goes" is something that has been applied to the cheap branch
of postmodernism. I have no objections to reading the Bible from a
pomo-point of view but I reject the idea of GR being "The Gospel of Thomas."
GR "has become an icon of postmodernism in literature" (Luc Herman,
"Approach and Avoid," PN 42-43, p. 10) but it's no Bible.
