I second that e-motion.  Here' a thread I'm now deeply
regretting having missed.  Girard I know even less
about, despite having read a couple/three of his
books, but this is right up the alley of several of my
regular correspondents/mentors.  Strangely enough (or
maybe not ...), I've spent more quality academic time
with anthropologists than anybody else ...
