Or, rather, and more specifically, a deliberate effort
  on Hector's part to accentuate stereotypes about his
  ethnicity.  Which reminds me, note the use of, in
  Hector's case, accents (all those "-ín"s), and, in
  Zoyd's, apostrophes (e.g., all those "-in'"s) ...


Why would Hector deliberately accentuate stereotypes about his
ethnicity? 
Can you provide examples? And what ios the point you are making here
about the punctuation?
