Not just parachuting but other forms of flying arise in PF too. Parachuting
also comes up in Ada a couple times I think, though I'm not sure what to
make of it either. If nothing else, Nabakov proves himself to be nearly
prescient (paragliding first started in Europe in the mid 80's. Throughout
the Alps today, depending on the weather, it would be rare NOT to see
paragliders in the air):
