This is my first post so I may be saying something stupid ...
Do other people sense a commonality in "look and feel" between texts of
Pynchon and Handke? Especially some fragments from "Mein Jahr in der
Niemandsbucht" (1994) - descriptions of places, scenes and insights - have
the same atmosphere like similar descriptions in Pynchon.
Likewise there might be a similarity in atmosphere between Pynchon and
descriptions of place & atmosphere in Thomas Bernhard - for example in "Das
Kalkwerk".
Because I enjoy descriptions of places , details, dirt spots on walls,
blades of grass, light etc. I would be happy with hints for further
reading - authors that I don't know yet.
Greetings, Petr
