But, hey, I'm probably approaching my millionth post
or somesuch, and that's never stopped me from saying
anything stupid.  Never stopped anybody here, for that
matter, 'cept maybe John Krafft, but ... but, of
course, you haven't said anything stupid.  Me, all I
know of Handke is Wim Wender's adaptation of The
Goalie's Anxiety at the Penalty Kick (1971) ..

... and you've reminded me, gotta find the English
trans. of Handke's novel (1970, tr. 1972).  Think he
cowrote WW's Wings of Desire (1987) as well.  He's
