What kind of explicit sex scene can we expect in a novel by Thomas
Pynchon?
In this story, and in every Pynchon story, explicit sex scenes are
perverse and political. Most times sex & death are mixed up with labors
of love/death. For example, in the short story "Small Rain" Lardass
Levine Plows Little Buttercup. The subjunctive dialogue on page 260
exposes the perverse nature of their sexual relationship and/or
fantasy.

"... you saw me do stuff he'll never see,"

"... I made you do stuff, bitch,"

This stuff reminds us that this novel is mostly retread.
