 I'm reading Elias Canetti's memoirs--three volumes,
The Tongue Set Free, The Torch in My Ear, and The Play
of the Eyes.

Recently read vols. 7-9 of Anthony Powell's Dance to
the Music of Time. 

Also Sebald:  Rings of Saturn, Vertigo, and The
Emigrants, the last of which I particularly liked.

Recommend all the above.

Just saw True Grit is being reissued.  Recommend
highly all of Charles Portis.
